What is your service fee or rate structure?

All content projects and strategy calls are  commonly billed on a flat fee with working with us. For content projects,  we bill everything based exclusively on a per-project price or as a monthly subscription fee. For example,  a blog post will be priced based at the quoted flat fee for that estimated word count versus a specific dollar amount per word. For a current pricing list, please contact us directly.

Additionally, everything is billed based on only net-15 payment terms through our invoicing system or net-30 if you prefer using your invoicing system with a signed scope of work (SOW) between both parties. At this time, I do not have the capacity to collaborate with companies with payment terms beyond net-30.

We provide several payment options available for all clients, regardless of your business size. The majority of our invoices are run through an invoicing platform as my primary method of payment. Through this system, we accept ACH bank transfers, credit cards, debit cards, and also Klarna. We also accept payments via Zelle and Venmo upon special request only.

Please keep in mind that your payment will be due either within 15 days or 30 days for services rendered and invoiced once the project or monthly agreement has been completed. Failure to pay within our agreed-upon terms will result in a 20% late fee and a permanent or temporary pause to ongoing projects with us. Additionally,  your deliverables could be subjected to being held until payment has been made accordingly.

New client payment policies beginning February 2024:  for all new clients that want to secure a spot working with us for content projects will be requested to provide a 25% deposit fee before any work will begin. This is to ensure that our calendars is more evenly distributed and dedicated both existing clients and any new clients that onboard with us.

Our fee structure and terms are subject change periodically. The price that clients are quoted is often based on the average time it takes to write and edit the content. This fee also includes project communication,  specific editorial revisions beyond project drafts from us, and any processing or service fees. For a current pricing list when working with us, please contact us directly for more detail.

What are some guidelines I should be aware of when working with you?

1. Signed contracts are required in order to work with us on a regular basis or on a monthly retainer package. If you want to work with me without a contract,  I require 100% payment up-front for each content project.

TL;DR:  Contracts or SOW’s are required to work with us, or 100% up-from payment is due upon booking.

2. All content services or consultations are final sale. Our time, energy, effort, and creativity are immensely important to us. Requests for free writing tests with us or requests for unpaid guest posting will be denied respectively. If you are not happy with the services that would provided to you, please get in touch with us directly to discuss options to ensure all parties are as satisfied as can be.

TL;DR: All services rendered are final sale when working with us.

3. For email or slack communication, please allow at least 1 to 2 business days (including weekends) to receive a response from us. For instance, if you were to send me an email mid-day on a Friday, then please note you may not hear a response back from me until sometime Monday or Tuesday, depending on my ongoing project schedule. If it is an immediate need, please flag your communication appropriately so we can ensure it is reviewed and responded to as a priority.

TL;DR: Work/life/client boundaries and efficient communication are immensely important to us.

4. We calendar block my projects for the week and month to ensure your projects are given allotted priority as necessary. Typically, the last week of the month and into the first week of the next month is when we often ask the majority of our clients to book their projects with us. For example, I often I have January’s projects fully booked by the end of the first week in January. That being said, during busy months for me, this can also shift to longer wait times to start any new projects with me. I am unable to guarantee bandwidth for you if you do not have a set amount of consistent projects or a monthly retainer established with us.

TL;DRGetting on our calendar early or setting up recurring content needs with me is the best way to guarantee your spot with us regularly.

5. The price you pay for the content has revisions included for free. All projects with me are allotted and included with up to 2 revisions each. This depends on the word count and/or complexity of the content needed revising. If you want to add to the word count from the original content draft or include another revision for better clarity, there will be an additional fee.

TL;DR: There is an additional fee for adding to the word count or more than 2 revisions each.

Do you use AI writing software for client content projects?

It’s truly no secret AI content writing has become a hot topic over the past few years. While there are countless options to help generate web content with AI, it is not something we use as a regular tool for the content produced for our clients. We am supported by the use of programs such as Grammarly or Pro Writing Aid, along with some AI programs to help brainstorm, generate content ideas, and outlines for clients.

We believe it is a tool, not a replacement.

We’re firm believers that most audiences still need that human element to the content they choose to listen to, read, or watch. Search engiines have more recently pushed back and penalized excessively AI generated content.

Therefore, it is not used as a regular resource for the content we write and curate for our clients. If there is ever a question of the validity of the content you receive,  we arehappy to address this issue privately with you and provide evidence to support my declarations of little to no AI-generated content for you.
